Sigri earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education from Bemidji State University and her Master of Arts degree in Curriculum and Instruction along with a Reading Certification from Hamline University. She is also trained in Orton Gillingham and two Linda Mood-Bell programs. She served as a classroom teacher for 34 years and worked as a district literacy coach and school interventionist.

Outside of work, Sigri enjoys photography and spending time with her husband and their children in Minnesota and Alaska. Over the years, her students have enjoyed seeing pictures of moose and hearing stories of dark winter days she shares from her visits to Alaska. Sigri has been trained in several other teacher coaching models and is very happy to be with GLP because it is the best model she has experienced!
