Sheila attended Northern Illinois University, where she received her BA in Special Education. She started the first 19 years of her education career in Arizona in the roles of Special Educator for grades K-8, Transition Specialist within an alternative education setting, and 8th-grade Language Arts teacher in the general education realm. Sheila then moved to Bloomington, MN, where she served as the Dean of Students and Behavior Specialist at the middle school level. She is honored to begin her 27th year in education this school year as the Dean of Students at Groves Academy. Outside of school, Sheila is busy with her 3 children. She also enjoys attending sporting and musical events.
