Rebekah (she/her) is a bilingual school psychologist (English/Spanish) and postdoctoral associate with a specialization in School Law. She is passionate about promoting equitable, best-practice services for culturally and linguistically diverse students with disabilities and their families. Her work focuses on advocacy, systems-level change, and ensuring that school policies and practices align with legal and ethical guidelines to better support students and parents.
Rebekah completed her doctoral degree at the University of Connecticut and has had supervised experience providing social-emotional and behavioral support to children and families using a CBT approach at Connecticut Children’s Medical Center, as well as in completing bilingual assessments within the public school system. She has also worked closely with parents and teachers to support their understanding of disabilities, special education procedures, and their rights and responsibilities within the special education system. Previously, she worked as a research coordinator for the Early Childhood Personnel Center (Connecticut), contributing to initiatives aimed at strengthening personnel development and service delivery for young children with disabilities. In her current role, she conducts diagnostic psychoeducational evaluations, provides consultation to parents and teachers, and supports broader school-wide practices to promote equitable and effective services.
