Olya Bernstein

Middle School Teacher

Olya received her bachelor’s degree in Business Computer Information Systems. After many years working in finance and as a computer programmer, she decided to pursue her lifelong passion of teaching. She received her Masters of Education from the University of St. Thomas and has worked in various educational settings in elementary and middle schools. She has spent almost the last decade teaching children with learning differences, reading and math. Her passions include bringing out curiosity in kids, helping them discover the beauty of mathematics, and guiding kids to reach their highest potential in all of their endeavors.

Personally, she enjoys reading, hiking, biking, yoga, traveling to warm beaches in the winter, and exploring nature at all times of the year! She has two children, 12 and 24. She lives with her husband and 12-year-old son, two-year-old dog, and sometimes her 24-year-old daughter (between her travels and adventures).
