Margie earned a Bachelor’s degree from North Park University in Chicago, majoring in Education and minoring in German and Music. She completed levels 1-3 of Orton-Gillingham instruction from Orton-Gillingham of Minnesota. After serving as a classroom teacher in schools in Chicago and Minneapolis, Margie started providing Orton-Gillingham services to families and schools. For more than 20 years, she has worked with children with dyslexia and similar challenges using Orton-Gillingham and Sonday System methods. She has also served as a supervising teacher for new O-G instructors. Margie enjoys helping families and students discover the confidence and joy that comes from literacy.
Margie enjoys photography, gardening, music and singing, traveling, and spending time with her husband and their four young adult kids.
