Katie completed her undergraduate education through Minnesota State University Moorhead, mastering in Psychology and minoring in Women’s Studies and Social Work Services. She then attended graduate school at Kent State University, achieving her PhD in Clinical Psychology with emphasis in Child & Family Studies and Neuropsychology. She completed internship at the University of Minnesota, followed by 2-year postdoctoral fellowship in Pediatric Neuropsychology. She most recently was employed for 6 years as a Pediatric Neuropsychologist for a hospital system before joining Groves Learning Organization.

Katie has experience completing comprehensive evaluations from birth to young adulthood with diverse histories and goals for evaluation. She also has provided presentations and published peer-reviewed research articles. In her role at Groves Learning Organization, she continues her passion for providing individualized and compassionate care for children and teens through assessment services – with the ultimate goal to help encourage areas of strength and support areas of difficulty to help each client achieve their own best outcome.

Outside of the time she appreciates working with children/teens and their families at GLO, Katie enjoys spending time with her husband and son—going for walks, taking in sunny days on the lake, participating in community activities, and spending time with extended family.
