Kara Eggers

Lower School Teacher

Education & Experience:

For the past 12 years, Kara has thoroughly enjoyed growing up beside students and their families both in the Upper and Lower Schools. Prior to Groves, Kara worked for nine years in the Minneapolis Public Schools in special education. She has a B.A. from the University of Northwestern in Social Science and Cross-Cultural Studies and a Masters’s Degree in Learning Disabilities from St. Thomas University. Kara thrives when she can help students build confidence and academic skills through content and relationship.

Hobbies:

Outside of school, Kara enjoys traveling, gardening, caring for her hens, eating healthy foods, singing in a Twin Cities choral group, and developing friendships. She is also dedicated to her work as a trained hospice assistant in nursing and enjoys leading retreats in northern Minnesota.
