Education & Experience:
Brigid completed her undergraduate studies at Drake University, where she double majored in Elementary Education and Early Childhood Education with an emphasis on special education. After teaching first grade for five years, she realized that she needed to deepen her understanding of reading, so she went to Hamline University and earned her Master’s of Literacy Education. She taught for 13 years in first and second grades, and PreK-second grade STEM before joining the GLP team as a literacy coach.
Hobbies:
A certified word nerd, Brigid loves learning about the fascinating quirks of the English language. A transplant from Chicago, Brigid has embraced life in Minnesota, especially enjoying opportunities for winter activities like snowshoeing and cross-country skiing.
