Annikki Bloomquist

Lower School Teacher

Annikki has 10+ years of teaching experience with elementary and middle school-aged students at public and private schools in New York, Connecticut, and Minnesota. She is especially interested in students’ learning process and has completed LETRS training and Orton-Gillingham training 1 and 2. She is eager to meet the students and faculty at Groves and to become part of the Groves Learning Organization.

When not teaching, Annikki loves to spend time with her daughters, go for long bike rides, travel to warm places near the ocean, and cook with food from her vegetable garden.

Annikki earned a B.S. in Spanish and Psychology from Scripps College in Claremont, CA in 2003. In 2005, she completed her Childhood Education M.S.T. at Fordham University in New York City.  Annikki also holds a certificate in Gifted and Talented Education from Hunter College in New York City and a Waldorf Teaching Certificate from Antioch University in New Hampshire.
