Alum Art Collaboration Honors Racial Justice

Groves Academy teacher Emmy Shanley met her former student Ty Taylor when he was in her third-grade class at Groves Academy. Seven years later, the two joined together to create art honoring the racial justice movement. They say making art has helped them channel their emotions after the murder of George Floyd. Listen to the WCCO Radio interview from August 18 to hear about how their collaboration has helped them heal while raising thousands of dollars for the youth-lead local nonprofit Juxtaposition Arts.

You can purchase their artwork at Cold Press Creative.
